Adopt The 82nd was started and run by Klaus Larsen, a first-generation American of Danish descent. Klaus realized after sending a care package to Iraq that instead of one person sending one package, why not hundreds? or even thousands? Thus was born the idea to make it simple for many people to make a big difference.
Our motto is "Many ordinary people making an extraordinary difference". By taking the difficulty of choosing, packaging and mailing out of the picture we hope to make it easy for ordinary people like yourself to make a difference in a soldiers' life. In addition, you can add a personalized message that will accompany your package.
